Matt Maher Concert
Keep the date open! St. Philip's Youth Ministry will be going to see Matt Maher in concert on Sunday, June 3, 2012. Matt Maher is a contemporary Christian music artist and songwriter who was written and produced five solo albums to date. He is best known for his song "Your Grace Is Enough". Solidarity Sleepout
The Solidarity Sleep Out is an opportunity for youth group members to take action and let the world know that we will not stand by quietly while young people go homeless and hungry in the United States. By committing to sleeping in boxes with friends for just one night, our youth will take an active part in a national movement to end youth homelessness in the United States while raising money that will go directly to getting kids off the streets in our area.
The event will take place from 5pm on April 28 to 3pm on April 29. For 24 hours, we will be fasting from food to experience some of the struggles that hungry children face today. We will all sleep in the gym in cardboard boxes. You may bring a sleeping bag or blanket, but no pillow or air mattress. We will break the fast with a meal at the end.
Help us raise money for homeless youth in our area. You will be given the opportunity to create a donation page during youth group meetings. We will also have the opportunity to raise funds from the church during the Sleep Out.

The Dead Theologians Society
St. Philip's Youth Ministry is proud to announce the debut of The Dead Theologian's Society (DTS) at our parish. This Society is a Catholic apostolate for high school age teens. Through the Saints of yesterday, DTS inspires the youth of today to become the saints of tomorrow. Its motto is "Dead to the World, Alive in Christ." Members will learn about the lives of the Saints using Catholic prayers, Eucharistic Adoration, the Rosary, and the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Our parish is currently the first and only active NJ chapter of the Society. All high schoolers are invited to attend. Meetings will be held monthly on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 2pm unless otherwise noted. Parishioners who would like to support the Dead Theologian's Society are asked to contact Youth Minister Justin Aughey at the Rectory.
